TEU
A standardized measurement used to express the cargo capacity of container ships and terminals. It represents the internal volume of a standard 20-foot shipping container, approximately 6.1 meters long, 2.4 meters wide, and 2.6 meters high. TEU serves as a universal benchmark for comparing the carrying capacity of container ships, regardless of whether they primarily transport 20-foot or 40-foot containers. For example, a 40-foot container equates to two TEUs.
